Sydney Laneways 2009, Australia—No. 29

James Lane
I've always liked the name James. There was a lot of contrast in this lane.

The pattern here I thought was cool, because it's someone else's natural pattern, painting glue for a sign.

A message I read, my message to someone now.

This next image I thought would make an awesome flyer for a club or bar. The texture and writing are just so cool. It's a section from a garage door.

The ground was all damp from dripping air conditioning units.
I started to cough.

A man at the top of the building fixing something.

And a couple of random shots.

Man with an orange mouth outside Customs House. Unfortunately I couldn't take a photo with his mouth but his drooping posture was of interest to me—like a wilted flower. It just occurred to me that orange is definitely a recurring theme. Also Customs House is one of the best places to meet in Sydney. There are always small exhibitions, such as the one on Michael Jackson recently from which I learnt that his song entitled 'Ben' was about a telepathic rat. There are lots of foreign newspapers so it's a good place to wait.

Random sign in a dive of a building, the door handle had an interesting enamel, nobbly finish.
I can't believe I'm up to laneway 30, alas only 18 left to visit in the laneway business development plan map.

What a day!

I can't wait to start a project in St Petersburg and I already know what my first project will be in London. Pibling you inspired me with your talk of views...
